Israeli Art Exhibit and Sale

Temple Beth Am of Framingham is proud to be hosting an Israeli Art Exhibit and Sale, showcasing art from the renowned Safrai Art Gallery of Jerusalem, from Thursday, November 13 through Sunday, November 16.  Safrai Gallery is the largest distributor of Israeli art in the world and enjoys an outstanding reputation for the quality and variety of its collection.  Over 1500 oil paintings, watercolors, lithographs, and etchings representing the work of over 100 Israeli artists will be exhibited and available for purchase, featuring the work of Marc Chagall, Avi Ben Simhon, Shraga Weil, Ben Avraham, Dorit Levi and many others. A portion of the proceeds from this extraordinary art exhibit and sale will benefit Temple Beth Am.  The exhibit will be open to the public and will provide a wonderful cultural and educational experience for Temple Beth Am as well as the greater Jewish and Metrowest community, especially in light of recent world events.

To help underwrite our costs and to allow us to make this exhibit free to the community, we are seeking individual and corporate patrons. In return for their support, patrons will be invited to attend a “Patrons Only” gala opening on the evening of Thursday, November 13.  The evening will feature appetizers with champagne and wine.  Patrons will enjoy a tour of the exhibit, led by Menachem Safrai, as well as the opportunity to purchase artwork before the exhibit opens to the general public.  Several dignitaries including local and state politicians, art museum directors and other luminaries have been invited to attend this special opening night. The names of art show patrons and corporate sponsors will be included in a special patron’s book distributed during the entire exhibit.

Platinum Patrons who donate $500 receive: Two (2) admission tickets to the Patron’s Night, two (2) $50 off coupons and two raffle entries. Each coupon may be used for any piece of art valued at least $500.  Art valued at over $1000 can use both coupons on the same piece.

Gold level patrons who donate $250 receive: two admission tickets to Patrons’ Night, one $50 off coupon to be used toward any piece of art valued at $500 or more, and one entry into the raffle.
