TBS 20's & 30's BIG Apple Picking!
by BIG - Boston Israel Group / September 25, 2011
On Sunday, September 25th, in honor of Rosh Hashana TBS 20's & 30's and BIG teamed up to connect Bostonians, Israelis and Apples for an awesome Apple Picking event. The group met at the Tremont Street Shul and carpooled to Ipswich Massachusetts to indulge in apple picking at Russell Orchards and Farm. Highlights include enjoying delicious homemade cider doughnuts and fresh apple cider at the Farm, as well as trekking out to the apple orchard fields. In short, fun was had by all, as we walked through the apple orchard. Some participants hand picked their own apples to take home, eat, bake and enjoy throughout the upcoming holidays, while others grazed in the fields - consuming apples as they socialized with one another. How many apples does it take to feel sick? My limit was five! Find out yours next year as we hope to make this collaborative event an annual one. A special thank-you to Julia and the rest of the TBS 20's & 30's group for working together with BIG.
We hope to work together more in the future, and BIG members - Shana tova u'metuka!
