Last minute Passover ideas

by Liz Polay-Wettengel on behalf of JewishBoston.com / March 26, 2010

If you are like millions of Jews in America, life has been pretty busy lately.

Passover is upon us and to help ease your stress, here are some last minute ideas to help you prepare for your Seder.

What is most important in any Jewish celebration? Why the Food of course! Kitchen Daily has posted The World's Easiest Seder Menu. You should be able to whip this up in no time!

Once we have the food going we MUST make sure we have the right wine. Lucky for you, I posted about great kosher for Passover wines that you must try.

Haggadah's you say? You can't find yours? Don't fret! We have that covered too! The Jewish Federations of North America has compiled a list of free downloadable Haggadah's for us.

How about a little Passover humor? The No B.R.E.A.D video is worth a watch, Read the story of Passover in twitter form from TweetTheExodus or just about anything from The Jewish Robot

If the kids need entertaining, here are some fun ideas.

You can sing Passover songs

You can also read about the joys of being Sephardic on Passover

Sometimes, you just dont want to hold your own Seder, or you just want to meet new people. Find a Seder in your area that you can attend.

And finally, while we make room at our table for strangers, be sure to make room in your hearts too and spread a little tzedakah. The Boston Jewish community has many wonderful organizations to choose from and while we reflect on the story of Passover, there are still many today who need our help.

Have any great Passover tips to share? We can all use the help we can get!

Chag sameach!
