Today is the first day of the month of Elul, the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah. There's a tradition to sound the shofar every day of this month except for Shabbat and the day immediately before Rosh Hashanah starts. In honor of this tradition, we'll be sounding the shofar all across Boston, once each day. Follow us on Twitter to see where we'll be next. Have a site where you think we should sound the shofar? Let us know in the comments.
JewishBoston.com has everything you need for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur 2011 in Boston. Visit our High Holidays Guide for information about events, religious services, recipes, ideas and more.
