Community Mural in Haifa: Arab neighborhood of Halisa benefits from Boston’s Tova Speter art project

Tova Speter, a talented artist and CJP PresenTense fellow who created the MEM Project, volunteered her skills this summer in the Haifa Arab neighborhood of Halisa to produce a meaningful mural with the children of a local school, using art as a community building exercise. Tova worked through the network of the CJP Boston-Haifa Connection/JCRC NGO Learning Exchange to identify a partner in Haifa to accomplish this project. It is a testament to the power of the relationships we have developed by means of our special partnership with Haifa that Tova was able to make her vision a reality.
