Temple Israel in Sharon is pleased to announce that the new Sifriyah “library” zone for children and their parents opened Thursday, September 13th with a Rosh Hashanah program.  The Sifriyah zone is an initiative to offer families with young children in our community a meeting and drop in location for programs, workshops and pure enjoyment of our newly refurbished library.   The “Zone” will be open every day starting Thursday, September 13, 2012 with special programs every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-11:30.

The next scheduled program for the “Zone”, Thursday, September 27, will be a Sukkot program.   All programs are free to the community and no RSVP’s are necessary.  Future Tuesday/Thursday program themes will include Jewish holidays, Israeli dancing, Parsha Spot Theater, Storytelling and Open Play, to name a few.  The new Sifriyah zone is supported by a grant by CJP’s Innovation Grants Committee, the Temple Israel Brotherhood & Sisterhood and Hertz Nursery School.

The full calendar of events in the “Zone” is on the new Temple website, www.tisharon.org, for easy reference.
