While the GBJCL blog is on its summer hiatus from writing new articles, we’ll share with you a “Book of the Month” each week which was previously featured on our own blog, but not on JewishBoston.

Tales for Very Picky EatersTo celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in March, GBJCL was proud to feature the work of the 2012 Geisel (Seuss) Award winner Josh Schneider and his book Tales for Very Picky Eaters.

This short chapter book for middle readers (grade 2-4) follows a young boy named James and his rejection of disgusting, smelly, repulsive, lumpy or slimy foods. Sound familiar? Maybe you know a picky eater or happen to be one yourself. Either way, anyone who eats can relate to this outrageous and goofy book.
