 I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie is a seasonal favorite which makes for a totally silly and ridiculous book, but kids really love it.  Plus, it has merit as a language leaning tool, as it builds upon the well know song/rhyme  “ I know an old woman who swallowed a fly”.  In this rendering of the well known rhyme, Alison Jackson and Judith Byron Schachner weave together common traditional expressions of thanksgiving, great food, family and often a goofy house guests, to celebrate November’s prominent holiday.
