Cakes and MiraclesAt GBJCL, our tutors help students discover their unique abilities and support them as they leap their academic hurdles. In the story of Purim, the Jewish festive holiday which begins this Saturday night, we celebrate the triumph of Queen Esther over the obstacles that stood in her way. In keeping with this theme our children’s book selection, Cakes and Miracles: A Purim Tale, features a child who is blind and overcomes this difference to realize his potential as a brilliant baker.

Also, don’t forget to sign up here to join us to hear Norton Juster, the author of the Phantom Tollbooth, in an upcoming GBJCL meet-up.
