JoJo's Profile

Boston, MA

I believe every single person out there has a story, and that every single story is worth listening to and can teach us something important.

This belief is difficult to maintain when I get crappy writing at my job.

I teach English at Roxbury Community College, and usually it's great. I also run a small peer tutoring program.

I'm from Berkeley, California. I lived in Reno, Nevada for high school and college. I taught English in Korea for a year. I was raised feministly, west coast egal reform/conservatively, passionately, and messily.

I loved my hippy Jewish day camp growing up. I loved my experience with Sigma AEPi. I loved working hard for almost nothing at my local cafe in college, but mostly because my coworkers were so great and taught me so much about life.

I live in Jamaica Plain with my wife, Suzie Schwartz, and my sister, Lilly Jacobson.
