created at: 2011-07-27In 2001, Renée and Steven Finn had a dream of a Jewish day school in the Metrowest suburbs of Boston. Ten years later, we hope you will join us in honoring their extraordinary commitment to the reality that is the MetroWest Jewish Day School (MWJDS) of Framingham, Massachusetts.

The Finns, together with their devoted families, staff, volunteers, and donors, succeeded in creating what had never been done before: opening a community school in this area for all families raising Jewish children, regardless of background or observance.

Beginning its ninth academic year this fall with students in kindergarten through seventh grade, MWJDS is the only pluralistic Jewish day school between the 128 corridor and Worcester, encompassing more than two dozen communities. Our inaugural class of eighth graders will graduate in the spring of 2013.

On Sunday evening, November 13, 2011, the MWJDS and Greater Boston communities will honor Renée and Steven Finn for their vision, determination and extraordinary generosity at a special 10th Anniversary Winter Lights Gala at Gann Academy in Waltham, MA. This will be an evening of ceremony and celebration and we invite you to salute the Finns by sharing in this special occasion.

Your support contributes directly to the MWJDS financial assistance program, which helps to keep tuition affordable and brings diversity to our classrooms. To join the Tribute Committee or receive an invitation, please contact Jan Moidel Schwartz, Director of Development, at jan.schwartz@mwjds.org or 508-620-5554.

Thank you for honoring Renée and Steve and supporting MetroWest Jewish Day School.
