Prozdor of Hebrew College is proud to announce the appointment of its new Director of Recruitment and Admissions, David Micley.  David is native of Newton, a graduate of both the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston and Gann Academy, has spent eleven summers at Camp Yavneh, and is a member of Shaarei Tefilah in Newton.

David is a recent graduate of Emory University, where he graduated summa cum laude and founded a group called “The Children of Abraham Project” that focused on Jewish-Muslim relations.  For his senior project, he directed and produced a thirty-minute film entitled “Cousins of Faith,” which juxtaposed the lifestyles of a religious Muslim and a religious Jew living in Atlanta, which has been screened both nationally and internationally.  While at Emory, David was also the recipient of the Emory Humanitarian Award, studied abroad in South Africa, and did recruitment for MASA, a program of the Jewish Agency for Israel.

David brings a multitude of talents, skills, and experiences to this position, which will primarily deal with recruitment, outreach, messaging, and partnership development with other schools, synagogues, and institutions in Greater Boston and southern New England.  David will also spend his summers teaching at Camp Yavneh and will assist them with some of their alumni events.

As a member of the senior administrative team at Prozdor, David will be an integral part of the ongoing process of Prozdor’s growth and evolution into a 21st century hub of learning and engagement for teens.  We are thrilled to have him join us and look forward to having him be an ambassador for Prozdor in the community.

Please join us in welcoming David to Prozdor and to Hebrew College.
