Renowned Boston Globe columnist and award-winning author James Carroll will introduce his new book, Jerusalem, Jerusalem: The Ancient City that Ignited the Modern World, at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Tuesday, March 1 at 7pm.

Carroll, author of ten novels including New York Times bestseller Constantine’s Sword and National Book Award winning An American Requiem, brings his unique point-of-view to the JCC. Carroll’s writing and work toward Jewish-Christian-Muslim reconciliation makes him a leading voice on the subject. This promises to be a fascinating discussion about Jerusalem, Jerusalem – and Jerusalem itself.

Joining Carroll in conversation about the book will be Charles Radin, news director of Brandeis University, foreign affairs columnist of The Jewish Advocate and former Middle East bureau chief of the Boston Globe.

Carroll’s appearance is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Book Fair Distinguished Author Series. The event is co-sponsored by JBooks. Cost is $18. Purchase tickets at or contact 617-965-5226 or
