The brochure is in the mail. The Facebook and email notices have gone out. It is time to get psyched for the second annual Boston Jewish Music Festival, bringing two weeks of great music to Greater Boston March 6-20.

With 18 events, 25 community partners, and over 250 singers and musicians playing for you, this year’s Festival is quite an overview of the latest in Jewish music. From hip hop to the Hasidic, from a live soundtrack to a classic Yiddish silent movie to four unique Kabbalat Shabbat programs, from a dance party with Joe Jackson’s and Paul Simon’s Latin percussionist to a moving multi-media commemoration of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
