ReachOut! is organizing a community service day on Christmas, followed by a Chanukah party. We’ve secured four opportunities around Boston for us to engage in something other than Chinese food on Christmas. At this point, all of our volunteer sites are FULL. But don't let that stop you from celebrating with us! 

Starting at 6:30pm, light one (or six!) candle for the Maccabee children with members of the ReachOut! community at The Democracy Center in Harvard Square. You do not need to volunteer to attend the Chanukah party! If you would like to attend the party but cannot volunteer sign up at http://tinyurl.com/ROparty.

Our volunteer opportunities are:

Option 1: St. Francis House (FULL - contact us if you want to be put on a waitlist)
Where: Downtown Boston
When: 9am-2pm
What: Prepare and serve a holiday meal to the hungry
Who: 5-7 Volunteers

Option Two: Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (FULL - contact us if you want to be put on a waitlist)
Where: Meet at Northeastern University
When: 10am-12pm
What: Visit with an elderly resident of Boston for the holiday
Who: 10+ Volunteers
Note: Volunteers will need to submit a CORI form by 12/16

Option Three: Haley House (FULL - contact us if you want to be put on a waitlist)
Where: The South End
When: 1:30-4:30pm
What: Prepare and serve a holiday meal to the hungry
Who: 5-7 Volunteers

Option Four: The Outdoor Church (FULL - contact us if you want to be put on a waitlist)
Where: Harvard & Central Square
When: 2pm-6pm
What: Pass out food and toiletries to the homeless population
Who: 5 Volunteers
Note: This happens in all weather conditions, so be prepared for anything
