Stephanie Wang-Breal 2009
Run time: 76 min. | China, USA | Language: English, Mandarin with subtitles | Film Format: Video

American families are now raising over 70,000 Chinese children. Eight-year old Faith Sadowsky, formerly Fang Sui Yong, is one. Director Stephanie Wang-Breal tells this story from Faith’s point of view and in real time. I Love You Mommy documents Faith’s struggle to adapt to her new life in America and her parents’ efforts to understand a child who experiences racism in a strange country. This is an important film about parenting, especially for anyone who has considered adoption.
Winner:  Best U.S. Feature, 2010 Silverdocs Film Festival.
