July 4 Picnic, Concert, and FIREWORKS!

Charles River, Ames St. and Memorial Drive,

Come hang out with your TBS friends for the traditional Boston Pops concert and fireworks! Join us anytime after 6:00pm on the Cambridge (MIT) side of the Charles River, near the corner of Ames St. and Memorial Drive (Red Line to Kendall). The Pops concert is 8:30-10pm, with fireworks to follow 10:30-11pm. (For the diehard, there may be a late-night ice-cream stop at Toscanini's on the way out, approx. 11:45pm.)
  
  Things to bring:
  * adequate WATER and SUNSCREEN -- it will be hot and sunny, even after 6pm!
  * your own picnic dinner
  * (hechshered) snacks or beverages to share if you wish
  * an extra blanket or towel to help stake out picnic space
  * cards or other amusements (books are OK too)
  
  No RSVP required, but call the 20s&30s Hotline (617-575-9827) if you get lost.

Our historic synagogue building at 8 Tremont St. was built in 1924-25 as Temple Ashkenaz. The Hebrew inscription over the front doors reads "Anshei Ashkenaz".
