Rabbi Gordon's July class will examine Jewish traditions about leadership and menschlichkeit -- what it means to be a good human being.  How did the early rabbis understand the role of a leader?  How did their vision compare to that of Roman society around them?  How were these ideas developed later in Hassidic and Halakhic (legal) traditions about being a moral person?  How can we apply classical Jewish values on leadership to our relationships with parents and children, students and co-workers, in our workplace and in our synagogue community?
