For Clergy Only

This full-day workshop will provide clergy with tools to nurture Jewish choices with every engaged couple seeking a clergy connection at this pivotal time in their lives. The workshop will introduce many new ideas for nurturing each couple’s connection to Judaism and reinforcing the Jewish choices couples may make in their lives together.

Introducing the exercises in the CCAR publication, Strengthening Communication and Supporting Jewish Choices: A Premarital Counseling Guide for Clergy, this training will enable clergy to help each marriage partner to clarify and express their own needs and to understand their partner’s needs, creating a sacred foundation for future marital communication.

Facilitated by Dr. Paula Brody, Director URJ/RJOB Outreach Training Institute with Rabbi Howard Jaffe, Temple Isaiah, Lexington, URJ Expanding Our Reach, National Clergy Liaison. Offered in collaboration with the CCAR – Central Conference of American Rabbis.

An optional counseling skills practicum is available on Thursday, May 15 and highly recommended.
