The Annual Chanukah Party of the Adams Street Shul

December 21, 2014

Spin the Dreidel! Dance the Hora! Come and learn a little Torah!
Come one, come all, to the Adams Street Chanukah party!

The Adams Street Shul Chanukah party is one of the events and traditions that defines the shul – 103 years ago, the shul was inaugurated on the special holiday. This year’s Chanukah party will take place at the shul on December 21st, 2014, from 4 to 6:30 PM, with a similarly warm atmosphere.

An evening of Chanukah fun has been organized. There will be latkes, and lots of other good food (what would Chanukah be without sufganiyot?). Join us in making this a rockin’ Chanukah!

The event will be fun for both adults and kids. There will be learning for the adults, crafts and games for the kids, Menorah lighting, and, of course, food, music and schmoozing for all! The kids will have fun building candy menorahs, spinning dreidels, catching donuts and more!

Sign up to perform at our Chanukah themed “open mic”, starting at 5:30. Play an instrument, sing karaoke, do a skit. Perhaps you can juggle dreidels? Email in advance (adamsstreetevent@gmail.com) or get on the list on your way in the door so we can create a schedule of acts. Remember: keep it short and family-friendly.

Minchah will precede the party at 3:50. Maariv starts at approximately 6:15.

Be sure to save the date on your calendar and be there to celebrate the holiday of Chanukah with us! Come ready to have fun. To volunteer to help with food, games, decorations, or anything else, email us at adamsstreetevent@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you then!

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, admission is free. Donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated!
