In various statements scattered throughout the Talmud, Chazal (our sages) express that seven particular commandments are considered equivalent to the entire gamut of Torah mitzvot. We’ll explore these mitzvot, building on Rav Wolbe’s book “Hamitzvot Hashekulot,” as well as on classical commentaries and Hassidut. Each session will include learning in chevruta (with a study partner), an in-depth lecture, and time for reflection. All texts will be available in both Hebrew and English.

Dr. Ronit Ziv-Kreger combines her passion for Jewish learning and life with her MIT training in management science to offer innovative adult learning and to train educators. She serves as consultant to CJP’s initiative to reinvent supplementary education in the Boston area, as Designer and Trainer for Hebrew College’s congregational PBL professional development, and as staff at a wide range of adult education programs, including Parenting Through a Jewish Lens, Me’ah, and ADAMAH at Isabella Freedman. She is a graduate of the Pardes Educators Program and received her PhD from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
