The New Anti-Semitism and the Situation of World Jewry – Multimedia Presentation with Dr. Charles Jacobs

April 19, 2015

Multimedia Presentation by Dr. Charles Jacobs and Ilya Feoktistov President and Research Director, Americans for Peace and Tolerance

World Jewry is now facing a new and daunting time.
Anti-Israelism is the “new anti-Semitism.” Jewish communities are under assault across Europe. Pro-Israel Jewish students are under siege on American campuses where the Palestinian narrative has become the dominant view, propounded by leftwing professors, promoted by Muslim and leftwing student groups. Meanwhile, the mainstream media daily portray Israel as one of the cruelest of nations.

Come and join the discussion: how are we to understand the current threats facing Jewish communities worldwide – and right here in Boston? What measures need to be taken to combat them?

Charles Jacobs, named by The Forward as one of America’s top 50 Jewish
leaders founded the American Anti-Slavery Group and The David Project. Charles was given the “Boston Freedom Award” by Mayor Thomas Menino and Coretta Scott King for his work helping to redeem black slaves in Sudan.

The program is free and open to all. Walk-ins are welcome.

Event Location: Cong. Beth El-Atereth Israel
561 Ward Street, Newton, Massachusetts, 02459
