Selichot in The Berkshires!

September 5, 2015 $10.00 - $20.00

All visitors are welcome for an evening of sacred storytelling followed by selichot prayers. Registration appreciated but not required.

Beginning with Havdalah, we will greet the High Holy Day season through an evening of sacred storytelling with Amber Chand followed by a Selichot service: prayers and songs for this season of forgiveness.

Searching for the Moon:Tales of Love, Despair, Faith and Forgiveness, a one-woman show written and performed by Amber Chand, tells the stories of Amber’s life.
Amber’s journey is one of redemption; it is a journey that highlights the power of love and faith and uncovers the hidden gifts of forgiveness and despair, reminding us that as we each embark on our unfolding journey, we are all deeply connected. Her vulnerability and honesty opens the hearts of audiences and encourages us all to forgive and let go of our past — to trust our voices, relinquish our deep rooted sense of invisibility, and summon the courage that is within each of us to be seen and heard.

Following the show there will be refreshments and an opportunity to reflect and share in community, the powerful themes of the show.
The evening will conclude with a Selichot Service, engaging the haunting melodies and beautiful prayers of the High Holy Days season.
