Please mark your calendar for the bill hearing for An Act Relative to Transgender Anti-Discrimination which would add “gender identity” to existing Massachusetts civil rights law for public accommodations, which currently prohibits discrimination on the basis of age, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, religion and marital status.

This bill would extend the right of public accommodations like stores, restaurants, hotels, medical offices, public parks, theaters, and public transportation to transgender people. We ask that if you are able, attend this hearing and show your support for all transgender and gender non-conforming people in Massachusetts.
