Newton, MA 02459
This event is kosher. This event is wheelchair accessible.

Calling all mothers and daughters! Join Ma'ayan for 10-weeks of text study, creative and experiential play, and bonding. Encounter a variety of role models, from the Tanakh, Talmud, and Jewish history, and explore a range of values as you prepare for the Bat Mitzvah. The MaTaN Mother-Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program expands girls' views about becoming a Bat Mitzvah and entering Jewish womanhood by exploring a variety of role-models. Offering young women not one but many paradigms of the "ideal" Jewish woman, the Mother-Daughter Bat Mitzvah Program allows young women and their mothers to navigate this life-passage together and encourages the Bat Mitzvah girl to build an adult identity rooted in Jewish sources.
