Yakir Englander, the International Vice-President of Kids4Peace has just completed a three-year stint here in Boston as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard. He has returned to Israel to direct the activities of Kids4Peace on the ground there, as well as to work at establishing a new program directed at forging relationships between Israelis and Palestinians ages 18–25.

Yakir is returning to Boston for just over 24 hours early next week and he has graciously offered to come speak here at Temple Shalom – sharing his eyewitness accounts of the turmoil of recent weeks, as well as his struggle to maintain hope in the face of terror and tragedy.

Please join us, as Yakir helps us understand what the media is not and will not convey about the complexities of these dark days in Israel – for Israelis and Palestinians.
