Allen J. Worters Memorial Lecture: “Intermarriage and Gender in Contemporary American Jewish Life”

This talk will chart the ways in which intermarriage has changed over time, how gender influences the maning and experience of intermarriage, and what we know about intermarried Jewish men and women. Based on twenty years of research about Jews and identity, Dr. McGinity will share her finds to dismantle assumptions and dispel myths. There will be a Q&A and Dr. McGinity will sign copies of her new book, “Marrying Out: Jewish Men, Intermarriage and Fatherhood”.
