Halleluyah! A Service of Praise and Celebration

April 8, 2016 Acton $0.00

The Congregation Beth Elohim Choir, along with Rabbi Lewis Mintz and Cantor Sarra  Spierer, invites all to its annual music Shabbat. Each year the choir prepares a service filled with beautiful and wide-ranging settings of the various parts of the Friday evening liturgy. This year’s service is inspired by Psalm 150, whose text tells us to praise God with our voices and with instruments. We will be singing four very different settings of Psalm 150—contemplative to rhythmic to rousing. And in keeping with the text, we’ll have a variety of instrumental accompaniments, including tof, clarinet, flute, cello, guitar, autoharp and piano. Many of the tunes in the service are among the choir’s favorites, and we hope they will be yours as well. We look forward to seeing everyone at this always popular annual choir event!
