JALSA’s Tzedek Salon with Eric Gold-The Opiate Crisis in Massachusetts: Why Did We End up Here and What Can We Do Now?
Join us to learn, network, and drink with Eric Gold, Assistant Attorney General and member of the Attorney General’s task for the opiate crisis.
In 2014, Massachusetts declared a Public Health Emergency around the growing epidemic of opiate addiction and deaths related to overdose. From this declaration, a Task Force was formed to bring together different voices around issues of public health, law, medical providers, and community engagement.
Eric Gold will be talking about the task force’s strategy and approach to addressing this crisis through the core areas of prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery support.

Tzedek Salons are monthly events organized through the Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action to bring together folks in their 20-30s with policy makers, attorneys, activists, and academics for casual conversations at local bars to explore cutting edge issues facing our society and state today. These events are open to everyone!

Event Location: McGreevy’s
911 Boylston St., Boston, Massachusetts, 02115
