Join us for our monthly Kabbalat Shabbat celebration at the historic Vilna Shul. This September we invite Josh Kraft, President of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, to join us as our honored speaker.

New faces are always welcome at Havurah on the Hill, so bring your friends.

Schedule of Events:
6:30 PM – Wine and Appetizers
7:00 PM – Shabbat Services
8:15 PM – A Discussion with Featured Speaker, Josh Kraft
8:45 PM – Kosher Buffet Shabbat Dinner

A donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of the event.

Getting to the Vilna Shul:
Free validated parking is always available for Havurah on the Hill’s monthly Shabbat celebrations at the Charles River Garage (165 Cambridge Street, Boston). Please note that this is NOT the above-ground Whole Foods lot, but the parking garage between the Whole Foods lot and the Au Bon Pain. Please bring your green ticket into the Vilna for a validation stamp. The Vilna Shul is also easily accessible by public transportation. Take the MBTA Red Line to Charles/MGH.

About Josh Kraft:
Josh Kraft serves as the President of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, where he oversees all aspects of the Foundation’s community outreach programs and fundraising efforts. Through his leadership, the Foundation has expanded its reach and impact in the New England community. In 2015, the Foundation made donations to more than 1,500 nonprofit organizations and coordinated more than 400 appearances by current and former Patriots players across New England.

Upon graduation from Williams College, Josh earned a Master’s degree in education and social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has been involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston for more than 25 years and currently serves as the Nicholas President and CEO. Prior to accepting that role, he was the Founding Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston’s Gerald and Darlene Jordan Club in Chelsea. Before the state-of-the-art facility could be built, Josh led the after-school program from the basement of a public housing development for 15 years.

Josh serves on the boards of Beaver Country Day School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation, and is an Overseer for the Museum of Science and Lasell College.

About Havurah on the Hill:
Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, the last remaining immigrant-era synagogue building in downtown Boston and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.
