Celebrate the Jewish holiday of Lag B’Omer with an afternoon of music and family activities outdoors at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Sunday, May 18 from 12-3pm. Enjoy music by 8th Day (an American Hasidic pop rock band), haircuts courtesy of Supercuts, a bouncy house, face painting, bubbles, field games, and more. Falafel and beverages will be available for purchase. Event is geared for families with young children.  Cost: $5/person; $25/family of five or more.  Co-sponsored by the JCCs of Greater Boston, Israeli House, Chai Center, Chabad of Chestnut Hill, Chabad of Needham, and Chabad of Newton Centre. Open to the entire community. In the event of rain, celebration will take place in the JCC auditorium. For more information, contact 617-558-6480.
