Mindfulness Meditation with KS Member, Bruce Pasha, 4 Thursday evenings

February 27, 2014 Concord

We live in a world full of distractions and increased demands on our time, but despite our mobile devices and social connectedness, our lives often lack a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. Not only that, but for many of us, our sense of struggle seems to be increasing and it takes a toll on our health, family relationships and our spiritual lives.
Mindfulness is an approach that teaches practitioners to connect with the natural awareness that is already within our minds.  It is the ability to bring full attention to an object and rest it there. When we practice mindfulness, we learn the possibility of approaching life consistent with our highest aspirations. We develop a different, more satisfying relationship to our daily experience and this in turn creates the possibility of decreasing struggle in our lives.

Mindfulness is the ability to bring full attention to an object and rest it there. The many benefits of mindfulness practice physically, psychologically, in business, in education, and spiritually, have been well documented and mindfulness is a core practice of every spiritual tradition.

In this course we will study the fundamentals of mindfulness practice and learn easy ways to integrate mindfulness to our daily living situations so that we can enjoy the many benefits of mindful living. In addition, we will learn how to establish a consistent daily practice that decreases stress and struggle in our lives.
