Mr. Courtney Grey will join us to speak about the human face of gun violence in Boston, sharing his street level view and offering thoughts toward what can be done about this scourge that plagues our neighborhoods and touches all of us. Mr. Grey is Director of Trauma Response and Recovery of the Boston Public Health Commission and is often one of the first on the scene at the time of a shooting. Whether or not you have come to other sessions of the Social Justice Beit Midrash, I invite and encourage you to come to this Tuesday’s gathering. Setting the context through Torah, we will then let Courtney’s voice be the commentary and inspiration for action. As the rabbis say when inviting us to enter a text they hope will help resolve a problem, toh sh’ma/come and hear. Toward resolving a serious problem of our time, please join us and Mr. Courtney Grey.
