Songs of Hope and Joy from the Land of Israel

May 8, 2015 Acton

Each year the Congregation Beth Elohim Choir prepares a service filled with beautiful and wide-ranging settings of the various parts of the Friday evening liturgy. Falling between Israel Independence Day and Jerusalem Day, our service this year will focus on songs from the land of Israel. Liturgical selections include settings by Israeli composers, as well as choir favorites from previous years. The highlight of the service will be a “Sermon in Song,” featuring music from Israel, ranging from the hopeful Al Kol Eileh and Yerushalayim, to a joyous medley called Around the Campfire, with klezmer-style clarinet accompaniment. We look forward to seeing everyone at this popular annual event!
