Sweet New Year Beekeeping & Havdalah

September 20, 2014 Peabody 0

Celebrate the Jewish New Year with honey!

Anita from Beverly Bees will teach kids (geared towards children ages 0-6 and their older siblings) to identify honeybees, understand their role as pollinators and spot the queen in a real observation hive. Kids will try some raw local honey, roll a fresh beeswax candle and perform a mock hive inspection in a beekeeping suit.

Followed by festive dinner and havdalah.

Free and open to the public. Temple membership NOT required.

Walk-in’s welcome but RSVP’s appreciated at lynne@northshorejewishfamilies.com.

Food is kosher style.
