The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton will offer a seven-week Tai Chi class for beginners on Mondays, June 20-August 15 from 9:30-10:30am. Tai Chi is a relaxing yet invigorating series of movements appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. The class is designed to help improve participants’ balance, coordination, body awareness, memory, focus, breathing, posture and overall well-being. No experience necessary. Open to the entire community. Cost is $147. Register online at www.bostonjcc.org/register. A more advanced level class will also be offered on Mondays, June 20-August 15 from 10:30-11:30am.
