The Life of an IDF Lone Soldier: Featuring IDF Sergeant Melanie Platcow

Join us for a dessert reception and discover what it’s like to be a Lone Soldier. During a rare visit home, IDF Sergeant Melanie Platcow (daughter of Temple Emeth President Philip Platcow) will share her experiences as a Lone Soldier.

Sergeant Platcow is a IDF fitness instructor at Tzeelim Base, a training base for reserves, combat soldiers, and many courses. She’s responsible for the gym and leading workouts for the soldiers on her base. Her workouts can be anything from pilates to kickboxing.

You’ll also see two videos about the FIDF.
