Interfaith Couples & Families

The 2005 Boston Community Survey found that 60 percent of interfaith couples in our area have chosen to raise their children as Jews. Barry Shrage, president of Combined Jewish Philanthropies, said at the time, "We believe strongly that our approach in Boston works—that creating an inclusive community of meaning and purpose attracts intermarried families and strengthens Jewish life for all our children and grandchildren."

We are lucky to live in a community that supports the inclusion of non-Jewish family members in Jewish life.
