Preschool Teacher Wanted – Somerville near Porter Square
Kesher Nevatim Preschool is a warm and intimate program that engages children from 2.9 years to 5 years. We integrate a rich curriculum focused on our children’s interests with exploration of Jewish life and culture. We are committed to thoughtful pedagogy and high standards of programming and connection with our children and families. Our parent community is highly supportive and engaged, often organizing fun community events. We are a supportive environment, respecting each other as individuals and as a member of our community. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a unique and enriching educational experience.
We are looking for a teacher who is:
• Able to collaborate and create with other teachers
• Interested to work in a peaceful and caring environment
• Professional, motivated and reliable
• Has experience fostering a child-centered, child emergent approach
• (Preferably) has experience with a Reggio /constructivist/ play-based approach to learning
• EEC certification preferred but is not required
• Judaic knowledge preferred but is NOT required
Job responsibilities include nurturing a positive connection and relationship with children, contributing to a responsive, child-emergent curriculum and implementation, communicating with and engaging parents, observation and documentation, care of classroom, focus on children’s emotional and social development.
Current openings for one full-time position and one part time position.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
