Unique Choral Group for People with Parkinson’s Disease
begins September 20 in Newton

This choral group is for people with Parkinson’s disease and their spouses or care partners. Participation can help address voice and communication problems through breathing, stretching and posture activities, vocal exercise, rhythm and movement, and a strong social support system.

Classes/rehearsals begin Monday September 20, 10:30 a.m. – noon
United Parish of Auburndale, 64 Hancock Street
Auburndale, MA

The group will rehearse weekly and the cost is $50 per semester, with a sliding scale available. Enrollment is open for the fall, winter, and spring semesters.

Offered by the Parkinson’s Family Support Program of Jewish Family & Children’s Service, in partnership with MGH Department of Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders, and MGH Partners Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Center.
