Many people have asked what has happened to the annual young adult Community Leadership Institute and why it didn’t occur last November as usual.
Well, like most things in the Jewish world, it’s a long story. We have embraced your feedback, and adapted the idea of the conference into something better for you!
First, some background: CLI began about four years ago as a one-day conference as a way for all the Jewish young adult organizations to learn about one another, collaborate, share resources and convene. Participant feedback from this conference led to the creation of the YJLC, or the Young Jewish Leaders Council, an umbrella group consisting of lay leaders and staff (if applicable) of most young adult Jewish organizations in Boston.
Instead of holding the CLI once a year, the YJLC decided to adapt it into two evenings of learning for all lay leaders and staff involved in young adult groups in the Jewish community.
