On the evening of May 3, 2012 come meet two amazing women who have availed themselves of One Family’s services. OneFamily is the family of Israel’s victims of terror attacks – those who have been bereaved, those who have been maimed, and those suffering from post-trauma as a result of terrorist attacks since 2000.

Yifat is a 29-year-old graduate school student studying American History in New York.  Her father was killed in a bus bombing in Jerusalem in 2002.  At 18 and the oldest of five children, Yifat put her life on hold to raise her siblings as her mother was overcome by grief.

OneFamily provided financial and emotional support to Yifat, her mother and her siblings in the forms of summer and winter camps, job training, college guidance and social events.

Pia is a 20-year-old American woman who was studying in Jerusalem last year. In March 2011, she was on a bus in Jerusalem that was bombed. She was not physically injured, but suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She went on to run the Jerusalem half marathon 2 days later and then returned home.

OneFamily has provided emotional support this past year and was with Pia last month when she returned to Jerusalem for the first time since the bombing.  Pia ran the marathon again and visited the site of the bombing with her friends from OneFamily.

Please join us May 3 for an opportunity to meet and hear inspiring stories of courage from Pia and Yifat. Visit our event link for more information.
