On Sunday, YACHAD joined Waypoint for a day of paddling along the Charles River. YACHAD is dedicated to bringing people with and without disabilities together in an inclusive community.

It was great getting to join their community and talk about what it means to be together, and many of the people on the trip were meeting for the first time. It was a windy and challenging day on the river. Seeing everyone face that challenge and work together opened up a great opportunity to talk about how we face challenge and what it means to support each other in it.

From Woerd Ave in Waltham, we paddled south toward Fox Island and just past it to an animal menagerie on the river banks. This trip shaped into a great opportunity to grow a community and share a memorable, fun, and meaningful experience together! We’re really looking forward to rock climbing with this group in a few weeks!
