The Billy Dalwin Pre-School of Temple Emunah is a vibrant and inclusive Jewish preschool that respects individual needs and abilities in the context of a caring classroom community. Long-term themes and daily activities are designed to engage the whole child, encourage exploration and enhance Jewish identity, while facilitating the growth of social skills. Careful attention is given to nurturing each child’s curiosity and potential with an eye toward building a smooth transition to kindergarten.

The school offers morning classes for toddlers and preschoolers as well as enrichment and extended day programming until 5:30 p.m. Parents can extend the school year by enrolling their children in Kaytana, our six week summer program. Children may attend Kaytana even if they are not enrolled in our school year program. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend our school year or summer program.

The Billy Dalwin Pre-School of Temple Emunah serves the larger Jewish community as well as members of Temple Emunah. As an integral part of Temple Emunah we have direct access to all of Temple Emunah’s resources and resource people. At the same time the BDPS functions as a community school, serving interfaith families, families with other synagogue affiliations, and families with no synagogue affiliation. Our families come from many communities including Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Cambridge, Lexington, Waltham and several other nearby towns. The Billy Dalwin Pre-School embraces all family structures, including families headed by same-sex parents and single parents. We strive to be LGBT inclusive, as well as thoughtful in our support of the diversity of families that are part of our community.
