created at: 2011-03-01For ninety years, the word Prozdor has been synonymous with high-quality Jewish education for teens. Generations of young Jews have come through the hallways and classrooms of Hebrew College at its various locations and been inspired by a program and a faculty unsurpassed in its quality and dedication to the Jewish development of its students.

As Prozdor moves into the 21st century and embraces the new needs of teachers and learners in this new digital age, we are proud to introduce our new program for online learning, Prozdor @ Home.  This venture will provide portals of engagement for Jewish teens who can’t make the journey to Hebrew College once or twice a week. Prozdor @ Home will help to give current Prozdor students enough credit-hours to graduate, will partner with communities and congregations nationally to enrich their current course offerings,  will work with programs that take teens to Israel to develop and implement a curriculum to engage their participants in meaningful learning both pre- and post-trip, and offer students in far-flung Jewish communities the chance to be a part of a learning community that connects  them to other Jewish teens around the world.

In today’s day and age, Jewish education can’t be limited to only those places where a student can get to for classes.  The time for virtual learning is here, and Prozdor is proud to be on the front lines as we create an international learning community for teens that will both strengthen their commitment to Judaism and Jewish learning and reinforce the importance of community and Jewish involvements at home.

We look forward to welcoming you into our virtual classrooms.  While our physical doors will always be open to you, now you can be assured that our virtual ones are as well!
