Kesher: Jewish Communal Connections

A Program of Jewish Family Service of Metrowest

Hundreds of Jewish Elders live in 26 Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes throughout Metrowest. Kesher connects Jewish elders in nursing homes and assisted living facilities to the Jewish community.

Kesher helps them maintain their connection to the Jewish community. Every Friday, Rabbi Judy Spicehandler leads Shabbat services in area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Volunteer with Rabbi Judy and through JFS’ Kesher program, you can give someone the opportunity to:

* light Shabbat candles
* attend a Jewish service, possibly their first in years
* celebrate holidays
* study Torah
* say Kaddish for a loved one
* sing favorite melodies
* meet other Jews

Join Rabbi Judy Spicehandler as she leads Shabbat services Fridays throughout Metrowest. Make Shabbat more meaningful. Various locations in Metrowest.
