Camp Jori

Camp JORI is an independent, kosher camp in southern RI. Since 1937, campers have enjoyed a safe nurturing place for a summer of fun. They learn sports skills, perform in the modern theatre, fish, boat, create in arts and crafts, and on and on.

In 2003, Camp JORI moved to a new state-of- the- art facility on Worden's Pond in Wakefield, RI. The pristine setting is surrounded by a Nature Conservancy Preserve.

JORI staff works hard to help each child reach his or her potential in the comprehensive program of sports, activities, Jewish culture and friendship along with a large dose of that JORI "family feeling." Dietary laws are observed. Israeli staff help to provide some programming opportunities for Jewish and Israeli cultural awareness.

Camp Director, Ronni Guttin leads a team of adult administrative staff, specialists, and skilled counselors who make a summer at JORI a great camping experience. To quote one of our campers, "Camp JORI is better than Disneyworld because you are there longer and have more fun!"

JORI is a co-ed overnight camp that provides a memorable camping experience for children from 7-15 years. The LIT (Leader in Training) program is for 9th and 10th grade campers. The Reaching UP program is an inclusive program for campers who need support with social-emotional and developmental skills.
