Sunday School for Jewish Studies
The Sunday School for Jewish Studies is an independent school offering a once-a-week program for children in the greater Boston area. Our school fosters a strong sense of Jewish identity using a curriculum that includes Jewish history, Hebrew, ethics and culture. Our children and their families, who come from diverse traditions of observance, explore tzedakah (charity), traditional celebrations and rituals, and Jewish themes in daily life. We hold classes on Sunday mornings during the school year for children in grades k – 7, and we offer high holiday services and other learning programs. Our teachers are experienced, enthusiastic and committed educators. As an independent school, we are not affiliated with a particular branch of Judaism.
