Ma'ayan: Torah Studies Initiative for Women
Founded in 1992, Ma'ayan nourishes both the spirit and the intellect in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, where women of all ages and from a wide range of backgrounds are welcomed as they come to further their Jewish learning. Each year, Ma'ayan offers weekday, evening, and Sunday courses in fall, spring, and summer semesters. Participants study Tanakh, Mishnah, Talmud, Jewish thought, and liturgy varied levels with expert, dynamic, passionate adult educators. In addition, Ma'ayan sponsors seminars and Yom Iyun and Leil Iyun programs (Days and Evenings of Learning), which are often open to both men and women.
When you commit to a full-length course or attend a mini-series, you will acquire sharper skills and greater knowledge of classical texts in a dynamic and stimulating environment. As a student at Ma'ayan, you will discover that the interaction of our students, faculty, and the text generates a unique and exciting learning experience. Whether you are exploring your Jewish heritage for the first time, or have been learning Torah your whole life, Ma'ayan will enable you to fulfill your goals for Jewish learning.
