Temple Israel of Boston Adult Jewish Learning
A Program of Temple Israel of Boston
Aware that an active mind and social relationships are necessary for a full life, Temple Israel offers educational opportunities and intellectual enrichment to active adults in the community. Members may acquire new knowledge; explore ideas, exercise creativity, share interests and expertise with others, and study Jewish texts as a prism through which to grapple with moral issues of contemporary interest and concern. How does the refracted light of Bible, Talmud, Midrash, Jewish mystical literature and other Jewish literature illumine the thorny ethical dilemmas by which we are confronted daily? What unique perspectives does Jewish tradition provide as a substructure to support us as we wrestle with challenges to our beliefs and values in a rapidly changing world? Take part in programs such as book groups, rabbi lecture series, Summer In the City, The Burstein Scholar-in-Residence weekend, and lots more. There is a place reserved for you at the tables that have been set for Adult Learning. We look forward to your presence.
